Your Privacy Choices

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Unum does not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws, however, treat the use of advertising and analytics cookies by our partners as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or as “targeted advertising”. This page explains how to opt out.

Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising

You can opt out in any of these ways:

  • Select the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our website and confirm your choice.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser or extension. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device that sends it.
  • Email contact@unum.com.br with the subject line “Opt out”.

Opting out through the link or GPC applies to the browser and device you use. If you clear your cookies or use another browser or device, you will need to opt out again. After you opt out, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.

You can also turn off personalized Google ads at https://myadcenter.google.com/.

Other privacy requests

Depending on your state, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information. Email contact@unum.com.br with the subject line “Privacy request”. More information is available in our Privacy Policy and our Notice to California Residents.

We do not need you to create an account, and we will never ask for your Social Security number, account numbers or signature to process an opt-out.
