Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the United Arab Emirates edition of Unum (https://unum.com.br/ae/) and explains how your personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact us. It has been prepared in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”). The full Arabic version follows the English version on this page.

1. Who controls your personal data

The controller of your personal data is:

ETUS DIGITAL LLC operates Unum, an independent editorial website about personal finance. Unum is not a bank, finance company or card issuer. It does not lend money, does not receive or process applications and does not pass your data to banks or other financial providers. When you click on a product, you go to the provider’s official website, and any information you give there is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy.

2. Personal data we process

• Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, language, pages visited, date and time of your visit and referring page.
• Online identifiers and information collected through cookies and similar technologies, according to the choices you have made (see section 5).
• Your email address, name if you give it, and the content of your message, when you email us.
• Quiz data: your name and email address, when you give them in the credit card and loan quizzes hosted at responda.unum.com.br, and your quiz answers.

We do not offer user accounts or application forms. In the quizzes we ask only for your name, email address and answers. We do not ask for identity documents, Emirates ID numbers, bank or card details, income or credit information, and we do not collect sensitive personal data. We do not send your name or email address to Meta, TikTok or Google. The quiz recommendation is editorial and for guidance only: it is not a credit assessment or an approval decision, and we do not query credit bureaus.

3. Why we process your data and on what basis

You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

4. Advertising and profiling

Unum is free to read and is funded by advertising served by third-party networks, including Google (Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager), and, where indicated in the settings panel, by other advertising partners. If you consent, these networks, their partners and Lotame, an audience data platform, may use cookies and identifiers to build a profile of your interests and show you ads based on your visits to this and other websites. If you do not consent, Google may still show you ads that are not based on your interests.

You have the right to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing, including related profiling, at any time (Article 17 of the PDPL). You can also turn off personalised Google ads at https://myadcenter.google.com/ and find out how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

The quizzes at responda.unum.com.br are landing pages for ads that Unum runs on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google, and they show no Google Ad Manager ads. If you accept advertising cookies in the notice on that page, the pixels and tags of those platforms (providers: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms, Inc.; TikTok Technology Limited and TikTok Inc.; Google) are activated to measure conversions of the campaigns that lead to the quizzes. If you do not accept or you reject them, they are not activated and you can complete the quiz as usual. We do not turn on advanced matching (Meta, TikTok) or Google enhanced conversions, so your name and email address are not sent to those platforms. We send marketing emails only if you tick the optional box in a quiz, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link on the page.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal effects on you or affect you seriously.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We use the following cookies and similar technologies:

We use analytics and advertising cookies only with your prior consent. Where our consent panel is shown in your region, you can accept or reject these cookies and change or withdraw your choice at any time through that panel. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website may not work) and turn off personalised Google ads at https://myadcenter.google.com/. In the quizzes at responda.unum.com.br the same rule applies: the Meta, TikTok and Google pixels and tags stay off until you accept advertising cookies.

6. Who receives your data, inside and outside the UAE

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with banks or financial providers. We share it only as needed with:

• Google LLC (United States): advertising (Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager) and audience measurement (Google Analytics 4).
• Lotame (United States): audience data platform, in line with your consent.
• Our hosting provider Google LLC (Google Cloud, United States), our content delivery provider Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), and our security and email providers, which act on our behalf and under our instructions and may be located outside the UAE.
• Our own measurement tool (etus.io), operated for ETUS DIGITAL LLC on servers in the United States.
• Quiz data (name, email address and answers): kept only by ETUS DIGITAL LLC and by our hosting and email-sending providers, which process it on our behalf and under our instructions. It is not passed to banks, financial providers or partners.
• Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms, Inc.), TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited and TikTok Inc.) and Google: only for pixel and tag browsing identifiers, and only if you accept advertising cookies.
• Courts and competent authorities, inside or outside the UAE, where the law requires it.

7. Transfers outside the UAE

ETUS DIGITAL LLC is established in the United States, so your data is transferred to and processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries by the recipients listed above. We protect these transfers as follows, in line with Articles 22 and 23 of the PDPL:

• Google LLC participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and processes data under its contractual terms with us.
• For our hosting and content delivery providers, Lotame and our own measurement tool, we rely on contractual safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
• Quiz data is hosted in the United States under the same safeguards. Meta and TikTok may process pixel data in the United States and other countries under the contractual safeguards each of them declares.
• For analytics and advertising cookies, the transfer also relies on your explicit consent (Article 23(1)(b) of the PDPL), which you can withdraw at any time.

8. How long we keep your data

• Google Analytics 4 event data: up to 14 months. The _ga cookie lasts up to 2 years.
• Logs from our own measurement tool (etus.io) and technical logs: up to 2 years, then deleted or anonymised.
• Emails you send us: up to 2 years.
• Quiz data (name, email address and answers): 2 years, or until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe, whichever comes first in the case of marketing emails.
• Other data collected through cookies: for the period set for each cookie by the third party that places it.

9. Your rights

Under the PDPL, you have the right to:

• Obtain information about the data we process about you, including the types of data, the purposes, the recipients inside and outside the UAE, the retention criteria and the safeguards for transfers (Article 13).
• Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and ask for it to be transferred to another controller (Article 14).
• Have inaccurate data corrected and have your data erased (Article 15).
• Restrict the processing of your data (Article 16).
• Object to and stop the processing of your data, including for direct marketing and related profiling (Article 17).
• Object to decisions based solely on automated processing (Article 18).
• Withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise your rights, email contact@unum.com.br with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us which right you want to exercise. If we need to verify your identity, we will ask only for what is strictly necessary. Exercising your rights is free. If you receive marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by writing to contact@unum.com.br.

10. Personal data breaches

If a breach affects your personal data, we will take the measures required by the PDPL, including informing the competent authority and you where the law requires it.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, email us at contact@unum.com.br with the subject line “Data protection complaint”. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

12. Children

This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we find that we have, we will delete it.

13. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, such as encrypted connections, access controls and system monitoring. Unum will never ask you for payments or sensitive personal data by email.

14. Third-party websites

Our content links to the official websites of banks and other providers. Those websites have their own privacy policies, for which Unum is not responsible.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version will always be published on this page with its date, and we will flag significant changes on the website before they take effect.

تسري سياسة الخصوصية هذه على نسخة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة من موقع Unum (https://unum.com.br/ae/)، وتوضّح كيفية معالجة بياناتك الشخصية عند زيارتك لهذا الموقع أو تواصلك معنا. وقد أُعدّت وفقًا للمرسوم بقانون اتحادي رقم (45) لسنة 2021 بشأن حماية البيانات الشخصية (“قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية”).

تتولى شركة ETUS DIGITAL LLC تشغيل Unum، وهو موقع تحريري مستقل متخصص في التمويل الشخصي. وUnum ليس بنكًا ولا شركة تمويل ولا جهة مُصدِرة للبطاقات، ولا يُقرض المال، ولا يستلم الطلبات ولا يعالجها، ولا ينقل بياناتك إلى البنوك أو غيرها من الجهات المالية. وعند نقرك على أحد المنتجات، تنتقل إلى الموقع الرسمي للجهة المقدِّمة له، وتخضع أي معلومات تقدّمها هناك لسياسة الخصوصية الخاصة بتلك الجهة.

2. البيانات الشخصية التي نعالجها

• بيانات التصفح: عنوان IP، ونوع الجهاز والمتصفح، واللغة، والصفحات التي تزورها، وتاريخ الزيارة ووقتها، والصفحة التي أحالتك إلينا.
• المعرّفات الإلكترونية والمعلومات التي تُجمع عبر ملفات تعريف الارتباط (الكوكيز) والتقنيات المشابهة، وفقًا للخيارات التي حدّدتها (انظر البند 5).
• عنوان بريدك الإلكتروني، واسمك إن ذكرته، ومحتوى رسالتك، عند مراسلتك لنا بالبريد الإلكتروني.
• بيانات الاختبارات: الاسم والبريد الإلكتروني اللذان تقدّمهما في اختباري بطاقات الائتمان والتمويل على responda.unum.com.br، وإجاباتك عن أسئلة الاختبار.

لا نوفّر حسابات للمستخدمين ولا نماذج لتقديم الطلبات. وفي الاختبارات لا نطلب منك سوى اسمك وبريدك الإلكتروني وإجاباتك. ولا نطلب وثائق هوية أو أرقام الهوية الإماراتية أو بيانات مصرفية أو بيانات البطاقات أو معلومات عن الدخل أو الائتمان، ولا نجمع أي بيانات شخصية حساسة. ولا نرسل اسمك ولا بريدك الإلكتروني إلى Meta أو TikTok أو Google. والتوصية الناتجة عن الاختبار تحريرية وإرشادية، ولا تُعد تقييمًا ائتمانيًا ولا قرار موافقة، ولا نستعلم عن بياناتك لدى شركات المعلومات الائتمانية.

3. أغراض المعالجة وأساسها

يحق لك سحب موافقتك في أي وقت وبالسهولة نفسها التي منحتها بها، ولا يؤثر سحب الموافقة على المعالجة التي تمت قبل سحبها.

4. الإعلانات والتنميط

قراءة Unum مجانية، ويُموَّل الموقع من الإعلانات التي تعرضها شبكات إعلانية تابعة لجهات خارجية، منها Google (Google AdSense وGoogle Ad Manager)، ومن شركاء إعلانيين آخرين عند الإشارة إليهم في لوحة الإعدادات. وفي حال موافقتك، يجوز لهذه الشبكات وشركائها ولشركة Lotame، وهي منصة لبيانات الجمهور، استخدام ملفات تعريف الارتباط والمعرّفات لتكوين صورة عن اهتماماتك وعرض إعلانات مبنية على زياراتك لهذا الموقع ولمواقع أخرى. وإذا لم توافق، فقد تعرض Google إعلانات غير مبنية على اهتماماتك.

يحق لك في أي وقت الاعتراض على معالجة بياناتك لأغراض التسويق المباشر، بما في ذلك التنميط المرتبط به (المادة 17 من قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية). كما يمكنك إيقاف الإعلانات المخصّصة من Google عبر https://myadcenter.google.com/، والاطلاع على كيفية استخدام Google للمعلومات الواردة من المواقع التي تستخدم خدماتها عبر https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

الاختبارات المتاحة على responda.unum.com.br هي صفحات هبوط للإعلانات التي ينشرها Unum على Meta (Facebook وInstagram) وTikTok وGoogle، ولا تُعرض فيها إعلانات Google Ad Manager. وإذا وافقت على ملفات تعريف الارتباط الإعلانية في إشعار الصفحة، تُفعَّل وحدات البكسل والعلامات الخاصة بهذه المنصات (مقدّمو الخدمة: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. وMeta Platforms, Inc. وTikTok Technology Limited وTikTok Inc. وGoogle) لقياس تحويلات الحملات الإعلانية التي تقود إلى الاختبارات. وإذا لم توافق أو رفضت، فلا تُفعَّل ويمكنك إكمال الاختبار كالمعتاد. ولا نفعّل خاصية المطابقة المتقدمة لدى Meta وTikTok ولا تحويلات Google المحسّنة، ولذلك لا يُرسَل اسمك ولا بريدك الإلكتروني إلى هذه المنصات. ولا نرسل إليك رسائل تجارية عبر البريد الإلكتروني إلا إذا حددت الخانة الاختيارية في الاختبار، ويمكنك إلغاء الاشتراك في أي وقت. ويمكنك تغيير اختيارك في أي وقت من رابط إعدادات ملفات تعريف الارتباط في الصفحة.

لا نتخذ قرارات تستند حصرًا إلى المعالجة الآلية وتترتب عليها آثار قانونية بالنسبة إليك أو تمسّك بشكل جسيم.

5. ملفات تعريف الارتباط (الكوكيز)

ملفات تعريف الارتباط ملفات صغيرة يخزّنها الموقع في متصفحك. ونستخدم ملفات تعريف الارتباط والتقنيات المشابهة التالية:

لا نستخدم ملفات تعريف الارتباط التحليلية والإعلانية إلا بعد الحصول على موافقتك المسبقة. وحيثما تظهر لوحة الموافقة في منطقتك، يمكنك من خلالها قبول هذه الملفات أو رفضها، وتغيير خيارك أو سحبه في أي وقت. ويمكنك أيضًا حظر ملفات تعريف الارتباط أو حذفها من إعدادات متصفحك (وإذا حظرت الملفات الضرورية للغاية فقد لا تعمل بعض أجزاء الموقع)، وإيقاف الإعلانات المخصّصة من Google عبر https://myadcenter.google.com/. وفي الاختبارات المتاحة على responda.unum.com.br تنطبق القاعدة نفسها: لا تُفعَّل وحدات البكسل والعلامات الخاصة بـ Meta وTikTok وGoogle إلا بعد موافقتك على ملفات تعريف الارتباط الإعلانية.

6. الجهات التي تتلقى بياناتك داخل الدولة وخارجها

لا نبيع بياناتك الشخصية، ولا نشاركها مع البنوك أو الجهات المالية. ولا نشاركها إلا بالقدر اللازم مع:

• شركة Google LLC (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية): للإعلانات (Google AdSense وGoogle Ad Manager) وقياس عدد الزوار (Google Analytics 4).
• شركة Lotame (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية): منصة لبيانات الجمهور، وذلك وفقًا لموافقتك.
• مزوّد الاستضافة Google LLC (Google Cloud، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية)، ومزوّد توصيل المحتوى Cloudflare, Inc. (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية)، ومزوّدي خدمات الأمن والبريد الإلكتروني، الذين يعملون نيابةً عنا ووفق تعليماتنا، وقد يقعون خارج الدولة.
• أداة القياس الخاصة بنا (etus.io)، التي تُشغَّل لصالح ETUS DIGITAL LLC على خوادم في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
• بيانات الاختبارات (الاسم والبريد الإلكتروني والإجابات): تبقى لدى ETUS DIGITAL LLC ومزوّدي الاستضافة وأداة إرسال البريد الإلكتروني الخاصة بنا الذين يعالجونها نيابةً عنا ووفق تعليماتنا. ولا تُحال إلى البنوك أو شركات التمويل أو الشركاء.
• Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. وMeta Platforms, Inc.) وTikTok (TikTok Technology Limited وTikTok Inc.) وGoogle: بشأن معرّفات التصفح في وحدات البكسل والعلامات فقط، وبموافقتك على ملفات تعريف الارتباط الإعلانية.
• المحاكم والسلطات المختصة، داخل الدولة أو خارجها، متى اقتضى القانون ذلك.

7. نقل البيانات إلى خارج الدولة

شركة ETUS DIGITAL LLC مؤسسة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ولذلك تُنقل بياناتك إلى الولايات المتحدة وتُعالج فيها، وقد تعالجها في دول أخرى الجهات المذكورة أعلاه. ونحمي عمليات النقل هذه على النحو التالي، وفقًا للمادتين 22 و23 من قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية:

• تشارك شركة Google LLC في إطار خصوصية البيانات بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والولايات المتحدة (EU-US Data Privacy Framework)، وتعالج البيانات وفق الشروط التعاقدية المبرمة معنا.
• بالنسبة إلى مزوّدي الاستضافة وتوصيل المحتوى وشركة Lotame وأداة القياس الخاصة بنا، نعتمد على ضمانات تعاقدية (البنود التعاقدية النموذجية).
• تُستضاف بيانات الاختبارات في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وتخضع للضمانات نفسها الموضحة أعلاه. وقد تعالج Meta وTikTok بيانات وحدات البكسل في الولايات المتحدة وفي دول أخرى وفق الضمانات التعاقدية التي تعلنها كل منهما.
• بالنسبة إلى ملفات تعريف الارتباط التحليلية والإعلانية، يستند النقل كذلك إلى موافقتك الصريحة (المادة 23(1)(ب) من قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية)، ويحق لك سحبها في أي وقت.

8. مدة الاحتفاظ ببياناتك

• بيانات الأحداث في Google Analytics 4: حتى 14 شهرًا. وتبقى ملفات _ga لمدة تصل إلى سنتين.
• سجلات أداة القياس الخاصة بنا (etus.io) والسجلات التقنية: حتى سنتين، ثم تُحذف أو تُجعل مجهولة الهوية.
• رسائل البريد الإلكتروني التي ترسلها إلينا: حتى سنتين.
• بيانات الاختبارات (الاسم والبريد الإلكتروني والإجابات): سنتان، أو حتى تسحب موافقتك أو تلغي الاشتراك، أيهما أسبق في حالة الرسائل التجارية.
• البيانات الأخرى التي تُجمع عبر ملفات تعريف الارتباط: طوال المدة التي تحددها الجهة الخارجية التي تضع كل ملف.

9. حقوقك

يمنحك قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية الحق في:

• الحصول على معلومات عن البيانات التي نعالجها عنك، بما في ذلك أنواعها وأغراض معالجتها والجهات التي تتلقاها داخل الدولة وخارجها ومعايير الاحتفاظ بها وضمانات نقلها (المادة 13).
• الحصول على بياناتك بصيغة منظمة وقابلة للقراءة آليًا، وطلب نقلها إلى متحكم آخر (المادة 14).
• تصحيح البيانات غير الدقيقة ومحو بياناتك (المادة 15).
• تقييد معالجة بياناتك (المادة 16).
• الاعتراض على معالجة بياناتك وإيقافها، بما في ذلك لأغراض التسويق المباشر والتنميط المرتبط به (المادة 17).
• الاعتراض على القرارات المستندة حصرًا إلى المعالجة الآلية (المادة 18).
• سحب موافقتك في أي وقت.

لممارسة حقوقك، راسلنا على contact@unum.com.br مع كتابة “Privacy request” (طلب خصوصية) في عنوان الرسالة، وحدّد الحق الذي ترغب في ممارسته. وإذا احتجنا إلى التحقق من هويتك، فلن نطلب إلا ما هو ضروري للغاية. وممارسة حقوقك مجانية. وإذا تلقيت رسائل تجارية، فيمكنك إلغاء الاشتراك في أي وقت عبر الرابط الوارد في الرسالة أو بمراسلتنا على contact@unum.com.br.

10. انتهاك البيانات الشخصية

إذا تعرّضت بياناتك الشخصية لانتهاك، فسنتخذ التدابير التي يقتضيها قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية، بما في ذلك إبلاغ الجهة المختصة وإبلاغك متى اقتضى القانون ذلك.

11. الشكاوى

إذا كانت لديك شكوى بشأن طريقة تعاملنا مع بياناتك الشخصية، فراسلنا على contact@unum.com.br مع كتابة “Data protection complaint” (شكوى حماية بيانات) في عنوان الرسالة. ويحق لك أيضًا تقديم شكوى إلى مكتب الإمارات للبيانات.

12. الأطفال

هذا الموقع موجّه إلى البالغين الذين بلغوا 18 عامًا فأكثر. ولا نجمع عن علم بيانات الأطفال، وإذا تبيّن لنا أننا جمعناها فسنحذفها.

13. الأمن

نطبّق تدابير تقنية وتنظيمية تتناسب مع المخاطر، مثل الاتصالات المشفّرة وضوابط الوصول ومراقبة الأنظمة. ولن يطلب منك Unum أبدًا أي مدفوعات أو بيانات شخصية حساسة عبر البريد الإلكتروني.

14. مواقع الجهات الخارجية

يتضمن محتوانا روابط إلى المواقع الرسمية للبنوك وغيرها من الجهات المقدِّمة للمنتجات. ولهذه المواقع سياسات خصوصية خاصة بها، ولا يتحمل Unum مسؤوليتها.

15. التعديلات على هذه السياسة

يجوز لنا تحديث هذه السياسة. وتُنشر النسخة السارية دائمًا على هذه الصفحة مع تاريخها، وسننبّه إلى التعديلات الجوهرية على الموقع قبل سريانها.
