Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 8, 2026
Last updated: October 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the Philippine edition of Unum (https://unum.com.br/ph/) and explains how your personal information is handled when you visit this website or contact us. It has been prepared in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

1. Who is responsible for your information

ETUS DIGITAL LLC (Florida Division of Corporations, Document No. L19000150138)
601 Brickell Key Drive, Suite 901, Miami, FL 33131, United States
Email: contact@unum.com.br

Unum is an independent editorial website. It is not a bank or a lender, it does not submit applications on your behalf and it does not pass your information to financial providers. When you click on a product, you go to the provider’s official website, and any information you give there is the responsibility of that provider.

2. Information we collect

  • Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, language, pages visited, date and time of your visit and referring page.
  • Online identifiers and information collected through cookies and similar technologies, according to the choices available to you (see sections 4 and 5).
  • Contact details and the content of your messages, when you email us.
  • Quiz data: your name, your email address and your answers, when you complete the credit card or loan quizzes hosted at responda.unum.com.br.

We collect this information automatically when you browse the website, through cookies and similar technologies, and directly from you when you email us. We do not ask for identity documents, bank details, income or credit information, and we do not collect sensitive personal information. In the quizzes we ask only for your name, email address and answers to questions about your preferences. We do not ask for bank details, income or credit information, and we do not send your name or email address to Meta, TikTok or Google.

3. Why we use your information and on what legal basis

Complying with legal requirements and defending our rights Data needed in each case Legal obligation (section 12(c)) and our legitimate interests (section 12(f))

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it. Where the privacy and cookie settings panel is available in your region, you can change your choice there. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser, turn off personalized ads at https://myadcenter.google.com/ or email contact@unum.com.br. If you withdraw your consent or refuse cookies that are not strictly necessary, the website still works, but ads may be less relevant to you.

In the quizzes at responda.unum.com.br, one on credit cards and one on loans, you answer questions about your preferences and the quiz recommends, as editorial guidance based on Unum’s reviews, the card or loan that makes most sense for you. The quizzes do not assess your credit, do not check credit bureaus, do not decide on approvals and do not receive applications. We use your name, email address and answers to work out the recommendation and to email you the result, using ETUS’s own email tool. We send you Unum commercial emails only if you tick an optional box, which is not pre-ticked, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Your quiz result does not depend on that box.

4. Advertising and profiling

Unum is funded by advertising served by third-party networks, including Google (Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager), and, where indicated in the settings panel, by other advertising partners. Where you have agreed or where the law allows, these networks and their partners, and the audience data platform Lotame, may use cookies and identifiers to build a profile of your interests and show you ads based on your visits to this and other websites. If you turn off personalized ads, you may still see ads, but they will not be based on that profile.

You can find out how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and turn off personalized Google ads at https://myadcenter.google.com/.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

The quizzes at responda.unum.com.br are landing pages for ads that Unum runs on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google. If you accept advertising cookies in the consent banner shown on the quiz page, the Meta, TikTok and Google pixels and tags are activated to measure which ads lead to the quizzes (conversions). The providers are Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd./Meta Platforms, Inc., TikTok Technology Limited/TikTok Inc. and Google. If you do not accept, they are not activated and you can still complete the quiz. Advanced matching (Meta and TikTok) and enhanced conversions (Google) are turned off, so your name and email address are not sent to these networks. The quizzes do not show Google Ad Manager ads.
