This Cookie Policy applies to the Liberia edition of Unum (https://unum.com.br/lr/), owned by ETUS DIGITAL LLC. It explains which cookies and similar technologies we use and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They help the website work, remember your preferences, measure visits and serve advertising. This policy also covers similar technologies such as pixels and local storage.
Cookies we use
| Type | What they do | Who sets them | Examples and duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Make the website work, keep it secure and store your cookie choices | Unum (first party) and, where shown, the consent tool | Session or as shown in the settings panel |
| Analytics | Count visits, show where traffic comes from and how the website is used | Unum, through its own measurement tool (etus.io), and Google Analytics (third party) | __br_* (own measurement tool); _ga (up to 2 years) |
| Advertising | Show ads, limit how often you see the same ad and measure performance | Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager and, where indicated in the settings panel, other advertising partners (third parties) | Google advertising cookies |
| Audience data | Build interest segments used to personalise ads | Lotame, an audience data platform (third party) | panoramaId, _cc_id |
| Campaign measurement in the quizzes | Measure which Meta, TikTok and Google ads lead to the quizzes at responda.unum.com.br | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms, Inc.; TikTok Technology Limited and TikTok Inc.; Google (third parties) | Pixel and tag identifiers, as shown in the settings panel; only with your consent |
Your choices
Where we need your consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary, we rely on it only once you have given it, and you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before. Where the privacy and cookie settings panel is available in your region, you can change your choice there. You can also:
- Delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website may not work.
- Turn off personalised Google ads at https://myadcenter.google.com/.
The credit card and loan quizzes at responda.unum.com.br show the same cookie notice. The Meta, TikTok and Google pixels and tags used there to measure campaign conversions are not activated until you accept advertising cookies. Advanced matching and enhanced conversions are turned off, so your name and email address are not sent to these networks.
International transfers
Some providers, including Google, Meta, TikTok and Lotame, may process information collected through cookies outside Liberia, in particular in the United States. See section 7 of our Privacy Policy. You can find out how Google uses this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
