FNB Personal Loan: check your eligibility and get your application ready for a major bill

You must be 18 to 69, a permanent SA resident and permanently employed or self-employed. Your documents depend on whether you already bank with FNB.

FNB Personal Loan

FNB checks your income, employment history and bill payments to assess whether you can afford the instalments. Start with that repayment capacity.

New to FNB? Prepare your South African ID, proof of address and proof of income

To enable payout, accept DebiCheck. Without confirmation before 20h00, the mandate may expire and need reactivation the next business day.

CPP excludes unemployment, inability to earn and occupational disability cover if you were self-employed or in informal work when the plan started.

Your interest, insurance and fees work together

Your fixed interest rate is personalised using the current prime rate. Beyond seven months, credit life cover is compulsory. CPP premiums join your instalment.

FNB charges R69 monthly. Initiation costs up to R1,207.50, except Top-Up; Credit Switch is exempt from 1 July 2026. Quoted CPP premiums leave your loan account monthly.
