Unused visits roll into the next quarter and expire at the end of 2026. In domestic lounges, up to three children under 16 need no add-on cards; their entry uses your earned visits.
Buy a public transport ticket with your card for free Phase 1 travel insurance. ClubMiles rewards lapse after three years without earning or redeeming.
What you pay when you borrow and hold the card
Your issuer, Diners Club South Africa Proprietary Limited, charges variable interest linked to Prime. Your contract’s Part A sets your margin; changes remain subject to the legal maximum.
You pay a R38 monthly service fee on new credit cards issued from 1 January 2018. New credit cards issued from 1 January 2023 have a R0 initiation fee.

Income proof lists your tax number, SARS payslip and salary advice.
- Earn R500 000 a year.
- Have a certified SA ID copy, or a valid passport if not an SA citizen.
- Provide a residential utility bill no older than three months.
- Have your latest IRP5 or bank statements.
- Declare no debt counselling, debt review or review application.

Which Standard Bank packages waive the primary Diners Club card fee?
The primary card is free with Standard Bank Prestige Plus, Private Banking Bundled or Wealth and Investment. Other fees still apply.
What if I live with someone and have no proof of my residential address?
Get an affidavit from the person you live with. It must confirm you live there and state the nature of your relationship.
Can I use bank statements instead of my latest IRP5?
Without salary advice, use three months’ original bank statements. Copies need a bank stamp; internet printouts are not accepted.
Can I choose where my Platinum card is delivered?
Choose your branch or another address and agree a delivery time. Services begin after application approval and legal conditions are met.
