In the Absa Banking App, open Rewards Travel Hub and select Lounge Access, then your card. After eligibility validation, select your lounge to get your QR voucher.
Your QR voucher replaces physical cards and manual lounge entry checks
Your voucher lasts 48 hours; unused expiry restores the visit. Its name must match your boarding pass. Guests and children cannot use your visits; they pay the entry rate.
You get two hours before scheduled domestic departures or four before international flights. Extra time costs Bidvest rates. Scan your voucher at reception.
Interest comes first, then your monthly card fee
Interest starts on the transaction date for cash withdrawals, casino transactions, fund transfers, budget purchases, ATM account payments and Garage Card transactions.
Also charged from that date: beneficiary payments, CashSends, prepaid products and Lotto. Absa Bank Limited’s R115 monthly fee is R1 380 over twelve months, before extras.
What you need for your Absa Premium application
Have your income and identity documents ready to apply.
- You must be 18 or older.
- Have a valid South African ID book or Smart card and proof of residence.
- You need a monthly income of R25 000.
- Show your latest three months’ income proof.
- You must pass Absa’s affordability assessment.

How does Absa check my spending for the Bidvest lounge benefit?
For your account, one check must qualify: 30 days before the voucher request, or monthly average spend over 90 days or 12 months.
Which payments count towards my qualifying lounge spending?
Only point-of-sale and card-not-present purchases count, not EFTs or revolving credit balances. Your card name must match your boarding pass.
What protection do I get if my card is lost or stolen?
Report it in the app: fraud after reporting is covered. Replacement is excluded; a lost-card administration fee applies.
Can additional cardholders use the Bidvest lounge visits?
Share 12 calendar-year visits if eligible: no rollover, monthly cap or domestic or international split. Get vouchers in your own apps.
